Trademark Classes and Nice Class Finder

Trademark classification starts with the goods and services offered under a mark. The Nice system contains 45 classes: classes 1–34 concern goods and classes 35–45 concern services. The summaries below are an introduction, not the complete official list of terms accepted for an application.

Search by the product or service

Use the English search box to find an initial class suggestion. Try specific terms such as coffee, clothing, software, restaurant, education or retail. An activity can involve several classes. A keyword match is not an official classification decision and does not assess whether the proposed mark is available for registration.

Goods and services need separate consideration

A coffee producer, a café and a retail business may use the same brand in different ways. The packaged product, food-and-drink service and retail service are different protection subjects. Class 35 does not automatically protect every branded product sold by a business. State which goods are involved and what service is being supplied.

Use the current official edition

The 2024 classification document is a historical source. New applications should be checked against the current TÜRKPATENT list and relevant detailed terms. Some classifications change between editions. For the 2026 Turkish list, ordinary spectacles, sunglasses and lenses require class 10 review, while protective and swimming goggles are considered separately in class 9. A generic word such as glasses therefore needs clarification.

Turn a suggestion into a filing scope

Prepare a plain-language list of the products and services you actually offer, their intended use and realistic expansion plans. Compare the wording with the current official list and review potentially similar marks. The class finder does not replace this professional assessment.
