Industrial Registry, Capacity Reports and Domestic Goods Certificates
Turkish manufacturers may encounter an industrial registry certificate, a capacity report and a domestic goods certificate in applications, procurement and commercial transactions. These documents have different purposes and issuing procedures. Treating them as interchangeable can create an incomplete file even when the business holds one of the certificates.
Industrial registry
The industrial registry records eligible industrial enterprises within the relevant Ministry system. The production activity, address and operational information should reflect the real business. Keeping records current is important when the facility or activity changes. The certificate is not, by itself, an automatic entitlement to every grant or tax benefit.
Capacity report
A capacity report describes production capability using the applicable chamber procedures and the business's machinery, workforce and premises. It can be relevant to tenders, finance, exports and other official applications. Changes to the machine park or production arrangements may require the report to be reviewed. Check validity and renewal requirements with the issuing chamber.
Domestic goods certificate
This document concerns a product's eligibility under the applicable domestic production and contribution requirements. It should not be reduced to a statement that the company has a Turkish address. The product, costs, inputs and current rules need to be considered. Procurement advantages depend on the conditions of the particular procurement process.
Prepare a consistent set of records
Compare the trade register, chamber records, production address, machinery list and product descriptions. Explain discrepancies before submission and assign responsibility for updates. A complete file should distinguish the manufacturer's registration, its production capability and the product-specific domestic contribution assessment. Özgel Patent helps identify which documents are relevant and organises the preparation process, while approvals remain with the competent institutions.
